Student-Teacher Partnership

The Montessori student-teacher partnership is a unique and dynamic relationship based on mutual respect and trust: Children are offered opportunities to be partners in their own education, being given the freedom to select learning opportunities that most engage/resonate with how they learn best. Teachers act as facilitators, observing each child's interests and developing needs, and providing individualized support, while also ensuring rigorous academic standards in accordance with both the Montessori philosophy and ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) standards.

More About Our Elementary 1 Program

Our Elementary Program spans 6 years divided into 2 three year cycles. These cycles are designed to maximize a student’s learning potential following Montessori philosophy while maintaining high academic standards. Our Elementary I Program (6-9 years / 1st-3rd grade) focuses on community and personal ethics, not just by growing as an individual, but also by exploring how to fit into a larger social group.
