Elementary students at Fox Valley Montessori School study Math, Geometry, Language Arts, Cultural Studies (Social Studies & Science), Physical Education, Art and Music. Lessons follow the Montessori Pedagogy and are aligned with National and State Core Curriculum Standards.

The Montessori student-teacher partnership is a unique and dynamic relationship based on mutual respect and trust: Children are offered opportunities to be partners in their own education, being given the freedom to select learning opportunities that most engage/resonate with how they learn best. Teachers act as facilitators, observing each child's interests and developing needs, and providing individualized support, while also ensuring rigorous academic standards in accordance with both the Montessori philosophy and ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) standards.

Our academic calendar closely follows Aurora West School District 129. Elementary students attend school from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Before and after-school care is also available.
Our Elementary Program spans 6 years divided into 2 three year cycles. These cycles are designed to maximize a student’s learning potential following Montessori philosophy while maintaining high academic standards. The Elementary II Program (9-12 years/ 4th-6th grade) is a time to expand the sense of self and identify the ways in which students’ personal interests and gifts can impact the world around them.
